Holland, Belgium and Germany Cruises
Two of our hotel barges, the 12-passenger Savoir Faire, and the 8-passenger La Nouvelle Etoile, cruise around Europe throughoout the summer, starting with Tulip Time in Holland. They follow routes through France, Holland, Germany and Belgium exploring some of best regions of Europe throughout the summer.
Savoir Faire starts in Holland in the Spring, cruising through the heart of Amsterdam and Rotterdam, visiting windmills, clog makers and cheese factories, and the towns of Delft, Gouda and Haarlem. A highlight in a tour of the famous tulip fields of the Keukenhof Gardens. This is followed by a longer three country voyage from Holland, via the Belgian cities of Ghent and Bruges through Picardy to the French capital Paris.
In the summer Savoir Faire cruises in eastern Burgundy on the Burgundy Canal with occasional cruises between Burgundy and Paris before returing via Picardy and Belgium to its winter moorings in Holland.
La Nouvelle Etoile starts its season in Holland, with a tulip time cruise through the heart of Amsterdam and including the Keukenhof Gardens floral displays. In May the barge travels through Belgium to Bruges and on to Paris through an exciting range of canals and rivers. In the summer months La Nouvelle Etoile cruises from Paris to the Champagne region through the heart of the Brie cheese country.
In late summer La Nouvelle Etoile cruises through Alsace to Strasbourg and Nancy on the French-German border, before continuing onto the Mosel river and the Mosel wine region and ending in Luxembourg.
