Burgundy Wine Cruise

Luxury, fully inclusive 6-night cruise on La Belle Epoque exploring the world-famous wines of Burgundy, France

Join us for an exclusive wine cruise aboard luxury 13-passenger hotel boat La Belle Epoque from 28 June to 4 July 2009.

Relax on board as we cruise leisurely from Auxerre to Clamecy along the renowned Nivernais Canal, past vineyard-clad hillsides and picturesque canalside villages.

We take you directly to the finest vineyards for private tastings, when our wine expert will talk about the grapes, cultivation methods and history at some of the 'off the beaten track' vineyards. We usually choose and buy wine together and enjoy it later in the day with a feast created by your talented on-board chef.

You can look forward to delectable Burgundies such as Nuits St-Georges, Santenay and Vosne Romanee, often premiere and grand crus vintages we have chosen with thought and care, and usually direct from the vineyards you visit.

La Belle Epoque

Taste the famous escargots, dine on a typical meal of poulet aux romarin en papillotes, or truite à la chablisienne accompanied by a full-bodied Burgundian red wine or lighter Chablis white. Each day brings new pleasures.

Nivernais Canal

The 13 passenger La Belle Epoque is a state-of the-art hotel boat and the worthy flagship of our fleet. She has been designed with both elegance and passenger comfort in mind and offers a sun-deck, spa-pool, plus sauna and fitness studio, wood panelled saloon and dining room, together with other luxury facilities, all fully air-conditioned.

Interior of La Belle Epoque
