Discover
the soul of France and explore the treasures
of its countryside aboard a floating small
luxury hotel. Our all-inclusive hotel barge
holidays offer a unique opportunity to see
France - you only need to unpacking once!
Your floating hotel has every modern comfort.
Accommodation ranges from twin and double-bedded
staterooms to suites with sitting area.
All have private en-suite shower or bathroom.
The experienced and knowledgeable crew is
there to attend to your every need.
The
finest regional cuisine is prepared by your
on-board master chef, complemented by a
wide array of fine regional wines and an
open bar. Fresh for breakfast are crisp
breads, croissants and pastries. Lunch is
often enjoyed on the sundeck, with a colourful
arrangement of salads, pate, savoury quiche
and cheeses. Dinner by candelight is the
culinary highlight of each day, complemented
by fine wines and water, and in the classic
traditions of French and International cuisine.
As your floating hotel winds along the
tree-lined canal every bend unfolds a new
picture of fascinating villages, majestic
castles, rolling vineyards, game filled
forests and pastoral farmlands. There is
ample time to stroll or bike along the tow-paths,
assist a lock keeper, or wander into small
canalside villages and meet the locals.
Or just soak up the scenery from a lounger
or deck-chair on the sundeck.
Daily
excursions are a highlight of all our cruises
and are designed for you to experience the
richest treasures in each area.
You may explore quaint, medieval villages,
story-book towns of half-timbered dwellings,
magnificent chateaux and castles, museums
and abbeys, enjoy wine tastings in privately
owned vineyards and shop in colourful open
air markets.
Your daily excursions are either a short
walk away from the barge or the barge minibus
can take you the short distance required.
A
hotel barge voyage includes accommodation,
all gourmet meals aboard and ashore, champagne
welcome, excursions and admittance fees,
use of bicycles and other on-board facilities.
Optional
activities such as an afternoon horseback
ride, a game of tennis or a round of golf
are available. Hot air balloning is available
as an option on most cruises for those wishing
to experience the exhilaration of viewing
the countryside from above.
