L'Impressionniste cruises the rich wine producing region of Burgundy through tranquil countryside to old Dijon, the abbey at La Bussiere, with lunch at an excellent restaurant and tastings of fine wine along the way. This itinerary through scenic Burgundy runs in reverse on alternate weeks.
From her mooring in Fleurey sur Ouche, L'Impressionniste sails the enchanting Burgundy Canal to Lake Kir and Clos de Vouquet, headquarters of the revered Chevaliers Tastevin with a tasting of fine Burgundy to follow. Stroll old Dijon and the delightful gardens of Abbaye de la Bussiere, working up an appetite for a lunch created by a Master Chef in an acclaimed restaurant. In Beaune, explore the Hotel Dieu Hospice and Maison Champy, ending on a high note with a visit to Chateauneuf-en-Auxois.
Large picture windows and spacious interiors give L'Impressionniste a light and airy feel. She takes 12 passengers in single, double and twin suites, all with en suite facilities, attended by an expert crew and a Tour Guide. Relax on the sun-deck, in the spa pool or take a drink with your travelling companions in the 24-hour bar. Bicycles are provided for rides along the tow path or exploring independently.
